Betreff: Re: Batman (...)
Ich muss mich korrigieren. Tyler Bates wird nicht die Musik zum neuen "Superman" schreiben, sondern: Hans Zimmer (natürlich... ).
Zitat:Hans Zimmer has signed on to score Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot Man of Steel. The film stars Henry Cavill in the title role, alongside Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent and Diane Lane as Martha Kent. Christopher Meloni, Laurence Fishburne and Michael Shannon are also starring. David Goyer (Batman Begins, Blade) has written the screenplay. Christopher Nolan who has worked with Zimmer on Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Inception and the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises is producing the DC Entertainment production with Emma Thomas, Charles Roven (Three Kings, Twelve Monkeys) and Deborah Snyder (Watchmen). Snyder has previously collaborated with composer Tyler Bates on his previous features, including Watchmen, Sucker Punch, Dawn of the Dead and 300.

Komisch, weil Zimmer mal abgelehnt hatte, Williams dort zu beerben:
Zitat:
Hans Zimmer, the film composer responsible for Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and the upcoming The Dark Knight Rises, is set to return to the DC Universe next summer. Variety is reporting that, contrary to earlier reports, Zimmer will score Zack Snyder's Man of Steel.
While Zimmer may seem like a natural fit for the project, he shot down rumors of his involvement late last year in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
"My heart belongs to Batman," said Zimmer of scoring the film. "I wouldn’t even know how to go and give voice to it."
Zimmer went on to explain that one of the troubles with tackling the character musically is that, in doing so, one can't help but fall in the shadow of John William's iconic score.
"[It] happens to be one of his greatest themes," Zimmer said, calling Williams "the greatest living composer". "So no. And I’m not thinking of rewriting Beethoven’s ninth either. It just sounds like a thankless task, you know? So that’s unequivocally a no."
Whatever has happened to change Zimmer's mind remains to be revealed, but check back for updates as they become available.
