Betreff: The Memoirs of Indiana Jones (from 1940 to 1950)
The Memoirs of Indiana Jones
After 2 years of work we can finally release this unique and very limited prop!
That came off after a long period of thinking, studying, collecting. It's called "The Memoirs of Indiana Jones", a diary, or better, a 'field journal' written by Indiana in his darker - in many senses - years of his life and career, the decade 1940-1950.
It's a journal that contains thoughts, field reports, adventures and travels. It covers all the '40s: I chose this era just because we have so spared infos, that appear very challenging to me, and if we think deeply we do have a lot of books published in many countries, videogames, roleplaying games, comics, and a lot of historical fact Indy is involved with.
Steerpike preliminar work consisted in research, study of all the published material, related to this period, and then developing Indy's year war, recreating hi career as spy for FBI first, then Army Intelligence, and then OSS. In the stories we'll meet again the old Imam, Henry Sr., Sophia Hapgood, Willie Scott, Colonel Musgrove, Mac, Oxley, General Ross, and many others. Also, a lot of original stories, created joining the historical facts, with the Indy cronology correspondence.
The diary will be 240 pages, leather cover, full of inserts, maps, WWII documents, and containing historical photos, featuring Indy an other characters, fictional and from the real life.
All the Indy's adventures featured in the diary are strictly conform to the official Indiana Jones releases.
The limited run edition of the Memoirs will came out with these four amazing extra props:
1. the Big Red One 1st Infantry division patch, one of the many roles that our Indy covered during war, all defined by honor and bravery. The patch will be featured in the diary in the 'aged' version.
2. An aged fragment of the Dead Sea Scrolls, one of the archaeological discovery of the century, which obviously Indy took part of. (thanks to Indy Magnoli)
3. Colonel Jones metal military tags from his years of WWII. We studied and recreated the old code system of the war tags to obtain the truly Indiana Jones tag. This prop too will came out in aged version.
4. The package of the diary will be an American flag, distressed, as it came out from the war too.
