Betreff: Internationale Ausstellung: Indiana Jones and the Adventure of Archeology
Tja, falls jemand plant in Kanada Urlaub zu machen, dürfte sich ein Besuch in Montreal derzeit lohnen. Dort startet in 10 Tagen die tourende Ausstellung mit dem reißerischen Titel "Indiana Jones and the Adventure of Archeology" ( http://www.indianajonestheexhibition.com ). Wie gesagt, sie soll eine Wanderausstellung mit verschiedenen internationalen (nicht-US) Museen werden. Leider ist der Seite bislang nur Montreal zu entnehmen, also ob sie nach Europa oder gar Deutschland kommt, weis ich nicht. Um die USA und damit Heimat des Helden macht sie wohl einen Bogen, weil da anscheinend keine Rechte für die Objekte vorliegen oder so ...

An sich ist es eine Mischung aus Filmvorstellung mit diversen Props, eingebettet in echte archäologische Ausstellungsbereiche. Allein die Props in gutem Umfeld würden sicher reizvoll sein, aber gepaart mit einigermaßen vernünftiger Wissensvermittlung, ist es sicherlich noch interessanter. Ich bezweifel allerdings ein wenig, dass die dt. Archäologen und populären Dingen gern abgeneigten Kreise so etwas gut genug heißen, um es beispielsweise groß auf die Museumsinsel in Berlin zu lassen. Aber schaun mer mal.

Our team of experts

This first-of-its-kind touring museum exhibition was developed by X3 Productions in collaboration with a team of world-renowned specialists to ensure it presents a factual interpretation of the principles and methodologies of field archaeology.
Michel Fortin is a full professor of archaeology specializing in Near Eastern archaeology. Dr. Fortin has been teaching in the Department of History at Université Laval in Quebec City (Canada) for nearly three decades. He has led numerous excavation teams in the Middle East.
Archaeologist and National Geographic fellow Dr. Fredrik Hiebert is an expert in his field. He has searched for human history in some of the world’s most remote and exotic places.
Dr. Fortin and Dr. Hiebert have helped develop the exhibition’s scientific and educational content.

Erstaunter Smiley , das wäre auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert, vielleicht nicht gerade in die Staaten, aber ein paar KM
nach Deutschland auf jeden Fall.

Bin gespannt ob die nach DE oder gar nach AT kommt, wäre Cooler Smiley !

Jepp, Diskussion bitte im anderen Thread fortführen (Link siehe oben). Die Ausstellung kommt wohl auch nach GB, hat jedenfalls jemand im COW behauptet (konnte auf der Website auf die Schnelle keinen entsprechenden Hinweis finden).
