Jetzt mal im Ernst: Läuft / lief die Serie hierzulande schon bzw. der Pilot?

Ich hatte vor einigen Monaten das Buch noch mal angefangen. Bin echt gespannt, wie die Serie daraus ein paar spannende Handlungsstränge strickt.

Kommt ja echt einiges, das vielversprechend ist. Die Westworld-Serie, auf Minority Report bin ich auch gespannt...

Snowpiercer was one of the best sci-fi movies of 2014. Bong Joon Ho's adaptation of the 1982 graphic novel 'Le Transperceneige' was a gripping, thought-provoking adventure, and rivalled Edge Of Tomorrow for most underrated film of the year. The movie wasn't seen by many, after it received a very limited release (imposed by the studio after Bong refused to cut it down). Thankfully, it's become a bit of a cult hit, while the property has been given a second chance.
According to THR, the film will be adapted as a TV series, with Sarah Connor Chronicles' & Crossbones scribe Josh Friedman attached to write, with Bong set to executive produce. "I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity," Friedman said. "I’m a huge fan of director Bong’s films, especially Snowpiercer. It’s great the way the best sci-fi is great — thoughtful, political, funny, scary and sly. And it’s on a train. A big f—ing train. What more could you want?"
The series is being made by ITV's Tomorrow Studios (who were behind the NBC straight-to-series drama Aquarius). It'll likely be shopped out to find a network suitor at some point in the near future. Are you interested in watching a Snowpiercer TV series? Sound off below!

Den ersten Satz kann ich voll unterschreiben.

Snowpiercer war so ein geiles Szenario, da kann ich mir sehr gut eine Serie vorstellen. Wenn man es richtig anpackt...

Vor wenigen Monaten hatte Kevin Bacon (Hollow Man, Echoes) den Wunsch geäußert, noch einmal zu seiner Rolle aus dem Monster-Kultfilm Tremors zurückkehren zu wollen. Und genau der scheint nun tatsächlich Realität zu werden! Wegen des großen Erfolges, den man im Oktober mit Tremors 5: Bloodlines verbuchen konnte, melden sich die gefräßigen Würmer bald auf wöchentlicher Basis in einer eigenen TV-Serie zurück, besetzt mit Bacon in seiner Figur als Valentine McKee. Andrew Miller, Schöpfer der The CW-Serie The Secret Circle, kommt dabei die Aufgabe zu, das Drehbuch auf Papier zu bringen, mit dem man 25 Jahre nach dem Original das große Comeback der Marke einläutet. Plotdetails unterliegen derzeit noch strikter Geheimhaltung. Durchgesickert ist aber schon, dass die Serie wohl erneut in Nevada und damit dem Schauplatz des Erstlings angesiedelt ist. Auf das Original von 1990 folgte 1996 der noch im Kino gezeigte Tremors 2: Aftershocks. Tremors 3: Back to Perfection (2001), Tremors 4: The Legend Begins (2004) und zuletzt Tremors 5: Bloodlines (2015) mussten sich dagegen mit einer direkten Veröffentlichung in den Heimkinos zufriedengeben.

Der Film ist noch gar nicht angelaufen, aber es wird immer besser.
Tarantinos Hateful Eight wird neben einem neuen Score von Morricone auch dessen ungenutzte Stücke aus The Thing verwenden. Ich freu mich so

At The Premiere of THE HATEFUL EIGHT on Monday, I of course was very much interested in The Musical Score. I was very surprised that much of what I heard sounded as though it was composed for a Horror Film. This Article from Indie Wire Explains it all. As an Academy Member, I would have to agree with the article... if is most likely going to be: Bye Bye Oscar.

The Premiere 70 mm Version of the film is over 3 hours long. Throughout the entire film, there is not really very much musical score. The Style of the score is not at all Western. Most of the score I would describe as being more Horror-Thriller in tone. None of the Signature sounds from Earlier Morricone Western Scores is present.
There are no guitars, no harmonica, no pan pipes, whistles, flutes, etc. No Accordions, No Typical Western Influenced Percussion...No Old Western Style Vocal Ensembles, Etc...etc... If one were to hear the score away from the film, it would never occur to the listener that the music was composed for a Western. I'm guessing that there is no more than 40 minutes of score in a film that is over 3 hours long. Most Likely... a significant amount of the music submitted, was never used. This would be Tarantino's Usual Method of trying things, and then rejecting them... trying more things, and then rejecting them. I'm guessing that it was probably a Huge Challenge for anyone contributing music for THE HATEFUL EIGHT.
