@Pasquale... we discussed the Story prop, which user Kulkulcan aquired via ebay and shown pics here. By discussing the StoryDiary we came accross "other sources"! And one other source is your work, which I think, is by far more accurat and closer, by its appearance, to the HeroDiary than the one shown here. |

Betreff: Re: Kukulcan's Props - The Pinball Adventure Shrine Pascal sent me a a fast translation of this discussion. Thank you to him! BTW, I would to say something. There are some real good seller for Grail Diary, but this is not more than 2-3 (me included and not considered the ebay seller). I sell many many diaries along 6 years and NEVER one guy back to me to say that he don't like my work. You can read hundreds review of my diary here, on COW, on rpf, on spanish forum, on french forum, on sideshow forum and on my board. I'm proud of the level of my work. Yes, it isn't handwritten but I think that more than handwritten, people want to find in a diary the same feeling that Indy have when open hos father's diary! Kukulcan will feel like Indy for some minutes, this is a promise! Thanks! |

Betreff: Re: Kukulcan's Props - The Pinball Adventure Shrine Danke/Thanks Sarednab...The diary is probably pretty average when it comes to screen accuracy. But it makes up for it with effort invested. It was not much more than half the price of yours but everything is aged very nicely, it has original Franc, Deutschmark and other notes as well as maps that look like they are orignals from the time (which can be bought at low prices but make it look very authentic, even if not accurate to the movie). On the other hand there are some inserts missing, the rubbing is a print and the start-/endpages as well as many other details are rather creative than accurate. But the seller told me, if want a SA one I should by yours. I didn't really want to save the money but wanted to see what can be done for the price tag it had. And I am surprised how much thought and work went into it. It may not be for the serious prop collector but an Indiana Jones fan not into forums or the science of prop replicating will be very happy with this as it feels like a diary from the begining of the last century. I am of course confident yours will too. One thing that bugs me is the handwriting font. It is just too familiar for someone knowing it and being into computers for a long time. It just looks printed to me, even if it might be not that obvious to everyone. That destroys the feeling of it being real, as the main characteristic of a diary is that it is handwritten. From what I read and what I seen inspecting your pictures, you are better at concealing it is not, but far from perfect. At least your font seems to fit much better. The only perfect solutions would be to actually handwrite it (which I don't want to pay for) or use a software that simulates handwriting (which is actually hard to find and probably expensive). |

Betreff: Re: Kukulcan's Props - The Pinball Adventure Shrine Zitat von MurdocXXL:

Betreff: Re: Kukulcan's Props - The Pinball Adventure Shrine Ach...mein Fehler...117 nicht 170mm... Sorry.
