Fence Runner., 15 March 2009

It is a good movie. I didn't feel I've wasted my time. Yet it is a weak film. Mishmash of "Six degrees of separation", considerably watered down shadow (because of Harrison Ford, who, I guess was a main attraction for people like me to come to see it) of "Blade Runner" (an all times masterpiece) and host of other, mostly forgettable, B-movies. I called it "Fence Runner" and the quality of it is to "Blade Runner" as the sharpness of the blade proportionate to the same of the Mexican boarder fence. By coincident the same day, when this film came out John Stossel of ABC 20/20 presented a special about US immigration policies and THE FENCE. Apparently 9 out of 10 deported captives come back and stay in the US. No wonder Ford's cop is burned out. So - this film is not bad, but it is not so good either.

One more thing: Have I missed something? - How come the criteria for admission to the USA was observing Jewish tradition and knowing prayers?
