Betreff: Re: Golden idol of fertility Bastel-thread
tach zusammen,
ergänzende Infos von "Restaurajones". Also... Die hier >>
http://www.atelier-st-andre.net/...o/bol.html << gezeigte Anwendung
Zitat:Here does not explain how to make the layer of primer, like I say you but the rest is correct. The bol is the last layer before put the gold leaf . The gold leaf that explains here (8x8 cm) is known in Spain as "gold german" or "fake gold. " The difference with the real gold is in the size of the sheet and that the "true gold" (oro fino) does not oxidize over time and is much thinner and difficult to handle. But a gold as another can be used with similar results.
Important information. the layers for the primer (white layer) must be applied alternating direction of each brush in hand .If, for example, you have given a layer in a vertical direction, the next layer has to implement it in a horizontal direction. This is important to keep the layers of equal thickness in all areas. If you are going to gild the fertility idol, I recommend reviewing the forms and profiles right for them don't disappear (with irons, punches, sandpapers or limes) with important details because the first layer has tended to accumulate in the corners or holes. Each two layers, before applying the all the layers, it should review all areas.
For the polished of the last layer you has to go from a medium grain sandpaper (180-220) to a more fine sandpaper (400-600). This type of numbering is used in Spain. They are known as "lijas de aguar" and are dark gray
