Genau die schwache Charakterzeichnung ist doch eines der Hauptprobleme von Indy 4: Mac hat kein Profil, da er, bevor die Zuschauer eine Beziehung herstellen können, bereits die Seiten wechselt und dann wieder zurück und dann wieder zurück! Von Ox hören wir nur Gebrabbel, nicht eine vernünftige Dialogzeile. Marion ist sicherlich nicht mehr derselbe Charakter wie bei Raiders, da sie hauptsächlich eine Grinsekatze mimt. Der Brody-Ersatz ist einfach nur ein Brody-light. Indiana wurde an manchen Stellen auch eher ins Lächerliche gezogen ("sag Seil!", "Na toll, fahrt doch weg!"), somit bleibt fast nur Mutt übrig! Und um ehrlich zu sein: Ich fand ihn von allen als Greaser am interessantesten gezeichnet, sicherlich ein guter Sidekick - hätte aber nicht der Sohn sein müssen. Wie man hier von einem Fokus auf den Charakteren sprechen kann, bleibt mir schleierhaft.
