Betreff: Iskenderum model Last Crusade

Hello everybody.

I want to show you my model HO railway diorama.
Everyone is familiar with Marcus's stop and Sallah's reception at Iskenderun station.
From here, my little tribute.

The first recording sessions for the film took place in May 1988 in southern Spain, taking place in the Tabernas desert, located in the province of Almería.

After a stay of approximately ten days in the Tabernas desert, the team moved to the rest of the locations of the Almeria province.

The one that brings us up is the last scene recorded in the territory Spanish. It was filmed on June 2 at the nearby Guadix train station in Granada. It is about the scene in which the capture of Brody by the Nazis takes place outside the Alexandretta station.

To offer a better historical atmosphere of the place, a mosque was added next to the station, which was built instead of being incorporated through visual effects. The scene stuck with me as one of the most beautiful: train station, historical wagons and a wonderful locomotive (which we only intuited in the final cut) known as the Baldwin.

Perhaps one day we will have the opportunity to see the material in Steven Spielberg hands that we could never enjoy, where Sean Connery and Harrison Ford - Indy and Henry Jones-, arrive at the Iskenderum station.

I hope you like it, at least, as much as I try to recreate it.
