Peter Jackson has already successfully adapted J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of The Rings novels into a trilogy of movies, but it seems the studio behind those critically acclaimed features is now looking to bring the adventures of Frodo, Gandalf, Gollum and co. to the small screen. According to Variety, Warner Bros. Television and Tolkien's estate are in talks with Amazon Studios to develop a series based on the exploits of the now iconic Middle Earth characters. However, negotiations are said to be in the very early stages, and no deal has been reached yet.
