How did Jock Lindsey end up in Disney Springs?

Indiana Jones’ easy going pilot, Jock Lindsey, and his snake Reggie (who made a great impression among Indy’s fans in Raiders of the Lost Ark) ended up in Disney Springs in 1938 while chasing a rumor about the Fountain of Youth that was supposedly located here in Central Florida near St. Augustine.

*Funny enough, now there is a drink called “Fountain of Youth” featuring St. Augustine Florida Cane Vodka, Bols Blue Curaçao, White Cranberry Juice, and Sweet-and-Sour

While flying above the beautiful Disney Springs, Jock was amazed by the town’s beauty as well as its natural springs and lush terrain. Jock loved it so much that he bought a waterfront property and decided to settle down and open an airplane hangar, an air tower and a runway to continue doing what he did best: being a pilot (after all he was part of an air circus for a while).

To survive in the beginning, he started taking seaplane tours across Florida. After several of his colleagues from the Society of Explorers and Adventures started to visit him, his hangar became a very popular stopover for world travelers and locals to share their globetrotting stories and artifacts over food and drinks!

Jock Lindsey’s quickly became the favorite hangar bar to gather and enjoy an afternoon among friends with good food and great drinks.
