@Kukulcan: zuerst einmal herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Neuerwerb. Die Fotos com Diary sehen sehr gut aus und das Diary macht einen schönen "gebrauchten" Eindruck. Thanks for sharing!

Sarednab...The diary is probably pretty average when it comes to screen accuracy. But it makes up for it with effort invested. It was not much more than half the price of yours but everything is aged very nicely, it has original Franc, Deutschmark and other notes as well as maps that look like they are orignals from the time (which can be bought at low prices but make it look very authentic, even if not accurate to the movie).

On the other hand there are some inserts missing, the rubbing is a print and the start-/endpages as well as many other details are rather creative than accurate. But the seller told me, if want a SA one I should by yours. I didn't really want to save the money but wanted to see what can be done for the price tag it had. And I am surprised how much thought and work went into it. It may not be for the serious prop collector but an Indiana Jones fan not into forums or the science of prop replicating will be very happy with this as it feels like a diary from the begining of the last century. I am of course confident yours will too.

One thing that bugs me is the handwriting font. It is just too familiar for someone knowing it and being into computers for a long time. It just looks printed to me, even if it might be not that obvious to everyone. That destroys the feeling of it being real, as the main characteristic of a diary is that it is handwritten. From what I read and what I seen inspecting your pictures, you are better at concealing it is not, but far from perfect. At least your font seems to fit much better. The only perfect solutions would be to actually handwrite it (which I don't want to pay for) or use a software that simulates handwriting (which is actually hard to find and probably expensive).
