Auf der Internet Movie Data Base - imdb.com kann man seit dem 24. Februar 2006 nachlesen, dass Indiana Jones 4 sich in der Vorproduktionsphase befindet.

Verdammt: Bei Theindyexperience.com kann man jetzt folgendes nachlesen:
Steven Spielberg in Interviews zu Indy 4:
Am 6. März hieß es noch das Drehbuch sei von George Lucas abgesegnet, Spielberg wolle aber ein Jahr Pause machen und ließe seinerseits das Drehbuch von David Koepp (Drehbücher u.a. zu Spider Man, War of the Worlds und Mission: Impossible) überarbeiten:
Roger Friedman: "George Lucas told me recently that there’s a script and he’s happy with the story."
Spielberg: "George Lucas isn’t the director. I am. I have David Koepp on it now, and he's my 'closer,'" Spielberg said, using a baseball reference to the pitcher who comes in during the 9th inning and finishes up a winning ball game. "He wrote 'Spider-Man' and 'War of the Worlds,'" Spielberg said, "so he'll get it done."
Und heute am 07. März heißt es aufeinmal Steven Spielberg habe auf der Oscarverleihung gesagt, dass George Lucas mit dem Script noch nicht ganz zufrieden sein und es an ihm läge...
"...there definitely will be a 'Jurassic Park 4,' and I'm pretty sure we'll be doing an 'Indiana Jones 4,' but I can't confirm that -- that's up to my boss, George Lucas. ... He still is not completely happy with the script, so I can't say more about that until he gives it his OK."
Da haben wir genau diesen befürchteten Augenblick an dem man sich eigentlich sicher fühlte, dass es jetzt los geht und an dem einem dann für gewöhnlich der Boden unter den Füßen zusammenbricht...
