Betreff: RE: Wie sind Magnoli Clothiers-Klamotten?
Na, da habt Ihr ja was angerichtet. Angestachelt von Euch habe ich eben folgenden Post vom Stapel gelassen:
Here is another critical post from ever rebelling Redbeard. As in the posts like this before I want to keep this discussion on the subject and civilized I don't want to get personal although it is hard to avoid.
I have a feeling more and more people are turning their backs on COW and as a long time member here it hurts to see people who where a enrichment for our cumunity doing so. Though I am so angry about some things here even I thought about it more then once. What is even more frightening all the people to whom I spoke feel the same way!
But what are those thing entoxicating the atmosphere here? In my opinion these are:
Greed:
Some people here who are very important information carriers here are holding back information for the sake of their business. For me it is just frustrating to see "new "diary pages being posted followed by a "I have known this page for ages" post. This is not what this forum is ment for: If you consider replicating of props your business and the information about it your comany assets you are not the right person to act as information carrier here! Also selling Propreplicas which can be bought in an average shop for 350% over price is not candid! It is scamming your fellow board members!
Premature behavior:
Some people who are board members for less then a few months have a post count of more then 3000 posts. I mean think about it: How much substance can there be? You must not post "Best Wested I`ve ever seen" for the 300th time.
Ingnorance:
When some people post it is just ignored by most while when some other people post even if it is totally irrelevant everbody must add his 0.02 $. Aren't we all made equal? I that fair.
Taking things way to seriously:
There are arguments started for things like our journal like I was something really important and not just a better autograph book. Is that really worth the struggle? And I also think this board has become over moderated to a point where you cannot call it "Freedom of speach" anymore. People I know are affraid to tell their opinions because they fear consequenses or they just think it would make no difference because the post gets deleted anyway. Let's see how long this post is up.
Conclusion:
We must try to get back where we came from and make this place a bit more as it was back in the days. It was a place where you talked your hobby in a relaxed way with people who you never met but who you considered friends. It was a place free of greed and the misuse of power. -- It was fun. Can we do that again and save the place we love from deceasing?

Redbeard
