Years ago I ordered a Highlander dragon katana replica from the US...before ordering I rang up the customs office and asked if it was legal to import the sword. I was told, and this is no joke, that importing the sword wouldn't be a problem - and what I did with it at home in my basement wouldn't concern the customs office. The fellow must have had his funny day...
