Well, maybe its a good idea to call the main custom office in Muenster or Duesseldorf (can't remember). LAst time I talked to a very nice woman and send her a picture of the stuff I want to order (it was a proton pack from Ghostbusters; I wanted to make sure, that they dont declare it as a bomb or something ), and she send me some details back, if its allowed and what custom group the prop is, with a note for my local custom office.

If the sword make it through, you can talk to the people from face to face in your local office, but if the sword stucked at the customs in Frankfurt for example, they will open it, and if there is a suspiction of illigality they will send you a nice letter with a lot of §'s and and press charge against you. And you dont know why. Its hard to get information about your case, if theres something wrong...

Maybe thats the most dramatic case of what can happen, but after all its a weapon and as a customer and the one, who imports this thing, expect the worst case.

Long speech, short sense, let's wait till more information are available on these swords. Hopefully everything works fine...
